FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER NORTHERN RIVERS
As a photographer, there’s no greater honour than another photographer choosing you to capture their precious and fleeting pregnancy season.
Stepping out from behind her own camera, where’s she’s documented other’s journeys to parenthood over the years, on a balmy autumn afternoon Zoe brought her beautiful family to one of my favourite Northern Rivers’ photography locations.
Zoe’s sweet children embraced their mother’s belly and were up for easy prompts and gentle guidance. Together we chased pockets of light as the sun dipped behind the trees, splashed through the shoreline waves, and explored the headland and various topography of this diverse Northern Rivers family photography location.
This photo shoot location is dreamy whether awash in a golden sunset or overcast and bathed with a soft, even light. Depending on the season, there’s a chance of spotting whales as they migrate north and then south again with their young. Add to that, possible dolphin and sea turtle sightings, and it’s basically a dream scene.

A perfect family photo shoot location if you’re locally based, visiting the wider Northern Rivers or Byron Bay regions. For those based on the Gold Coast or even Brisbane, I love making the short trek across the border. When the Gold Coast beaches are typically busier with foot traffic, this locale is generally uncrowded and beckoning to be explored.
